At CIRSA, We Are Responsible Gaming

We have launched a global campaign in all the countries where we operate, focusing on both internal and external communication with the goal of informing and empowering our customers.

In all our venues, it has been visibly implemented and includes, among other things, tips for playing responsibly, through brochures, screens, and informational panels, self-assessment tests, and the explicit prohibition of access to those under 18 years of age.

Certifications

At the corporate level, we have achieved the Responsible Gaming certification from the international certifying entity G4 (Global Gambling Guidance Group), becoming the first Group to receive this accreditation in Spain and in the Latin American countries where we operate.

Additionally, for all our casinos in Spain, we have obtained dual certification in Responsible Gaming from the European Casinos Association (ECA) and the international entity G4.

Regarding the bar and restaurant sector, CIRSA and other leading gaming companies in Spain, along with COFAR (Spanish Confederation of Recreational Gaming Business Owners in Hospitality), have defined a certification program to ensure that the bar and restaurant sector implements preventive and proactive personalized measures to guarantee safer gambling.

Responsible Gaming Committee

The Corporate division is in charge of validating policies, strategy, and culture in terms of Responsible Gaming. It is comprised of the heads of different business lines, as well as HR, Legal, Communication, and ESG. The main functions of the Committee are:

  • To define and periodically review the company's strategy and action plan on Responsible Gaming.

  • To meet regularly, to evaluate the actions and/or activities to be developed within the company, to keep customers informed about Responsible Gaming.

  • To develop informative campaigns on Responsible Gaming and design campaigns to foster a culture of Responsible Gaming.

  • To stay abreast of provisions issued by regulatory entities regarding Responsible Gaming, so that alerts and controls to be implemented in CIRSA are timely identified.

AI

We want to ensure safe online gaming so that customers can make the most of their experience. To achieve this goal, we apply AI technologies, using the prediction of the computational model known as a "supervised artificial neural network", in order to monitor, detect, and profile our customers. This allows us to protect them by identifying possible signs of problematic gambling. The control mechanisms are based on a matrix in which 25 key indicators have been included. The system monitors various parameters: Frequency/Time, Activity/volume, economic factors, and other factors.

On the other hand, we manage a self-exclusion program that allows customers to opt out of gaming, whenever they deem it necessary.

 
Collaboration with entities.

We promote active collaborations and partnerships with research institutions to provide assistance and guidance to individuals who have developed problems related to excessive gambling.

We actively participate in all sectoral associations within the gaming industry to promote these commitments and work on specific measures that ensure the highest levels of Responsible Gaming within our sector.

We also collaborate with administrations, for instance, in Spain, we are part of the Advisory Council on Responsible Gaming, led by the Directorate General for Gaming Regulation (DGOJ).
